You Take Me Back.

Just discovered the talent of Jeremy Camp and have been listening to him the last two days. His songs have really encouraged me. Sung to the one who accepts us, loves us, died for us...and forgives us.
When we repent he takes us back. We are restored.
If only I grasped the vastness and deepness of that restoration each moment of each day. If only I embraced what He did for me each day. Imagine how I could live?
I could praise God all day...accept that I am sinful all day but that just as sinful as I am that God restores me all the more. Shouldn't this make me want to obey him more? Out of love. Not working out my own salvation but accepting His.
Why do I try to save myself?
Lord thank you. My finite, tiny, little mind, heart and soul longs for something so big and all too often I fall for those tiny finite things on earth rather than falling on my knees before you. Yet these words comfort me.
Grace. Unmerited Favor. Your faithfulness. Your truth. Beautiful.

The reason why I stand
The answer lies in you
You hung to make me strong
Though my praise was few
When I fall I bring your name down
But I have found in you
A heart that bleeds forgiveness
replacing all these thoughts of painful memories
But I know that your response will always be

I'll take you back always
Even when your fight is over now
I'll take you back always
Even when the pain is coming through
I'll take you back

You satisfy this cry
Of what I'm looking for
And I'll take all I can
And lay it down before
The throne of endless grace now that radiates what's true
I'm in the only place that
erases all these faults
That have over taken me
But I know that your response will always be

I'll take you back always
Even when your fight is over now
I'll take you back always
Even when the pain is coming through
I'll take you back

I can only speak with a grateful heart
As I'm pierced by this gift of your love
I will always bring an offering
I can never thank you enough

You take me back always
Even when my fight is over now
You take me back always
Even when my pain is coming through
You take me back

Jeremy Camp rocks! If you have not heard his testimony, you should do your research, it is incredible to hear where/when he wrote most of his songs on his frist album.
