Here's Joorddaaan!!

I'M BACK!!!
I actually spent the last month in Folsom Prison because I shot a man in Reno just to watch him die. I broke out late last night and my first thought was that I had to update my blog. I am so sorry fella's. I reckon I lost my audience. But being put in prison because I mimicked some lines from a Johnny Cash song is a very good reason. Nah. I didnt do that. I dont have murder in my blood. (A quote from last weeks episode of Lost) I do have love in my blood though.
For all those out there that have not heard. This old man was rolling home last October and went on a blind date my pops set up and WHAM BAM!!! LIGHTNING Struck me just like lighting struck my plane last Monday.

BUT as I said...this lightning struck me. It was love at first sight ya'll!
An angel descended from heaven and her name was Jessica. When her sparkling eyes gazed on me I heard the heavenly beings sing in unison...Hallelujah!! Hallelujah!!

AND in my soul my voice lofted on High....PRAISE YE THE LORD!!

I was smitten. I was head over heels. I levitated. I was in rapture. I danced like a dirvish. I asked her for a second date.

The second date...we went and shot pool. I dont think anyone existed in that entire place but her. When she looked at me I had to turn away and remember to breath again. I was literally breathless.

I looked away so I could exhale but I would stop breathing when our eyes met.
It was right then and there that I knew loved Jessica.
I had to leave the next morning at 6 am to make it to the airport. We stayed up talking until 4:30 in the morning and then we talked on the phone on my way home.
(She lives in Chattanooga, my home town, and I live in Baltimore.) Out of character, Jessica asked if she could fly up and see me at the end of October. I said
OF COURSE, I would love that!

October 29th. She arrived. I took her to a beautiful lake surrounded by mountains, we sat at the peak of a ridge with water in all directions. The sun was setting, rose petals and candles were set with her favorite foods set out in a picnic fashion. With the help of friends I suprised her with a beautiful picnic. The day before I seriously considered asking her to marry me at that moment. It would have been our 4th date. I decided to wait.
This is a picture of Loch Raven at sunset.

Her time up here was amazing. Fast forward. I was to fly back to Chattanooga on Thanksgiving day to spend time with her and family. I decided to fly down on the Monday before Thanksgiving and totally suprise her. The flight was turbulent the whole way, lightning struck the plane and my palms were sweating. I landed in Atlanta...it was pouring rain, a 2 hour trip home took 3 but I arrived at the destination. Rembrandts Coffee Shop in the art district of Chattanooga. It is on a bluff overlooking the city and the river. It was also the sight of our first date.
Under a ruse to get her to meet there..my dad set up a dinner date with her and my parents and my little sister. She had no idea I was there.
Late by 40 minutes I arrive in the rain. I hid in the sculpture garden...my little sister tells her she has a gift to give her in the sculpture garden overlooking the river and takes her down. With an umbrella disguising my presence I turn to her when she gets close. My dad and sister fade away. Jessica jumps into my arms. We kiss in the rain. She says, "What a suprise!" I tell her, "I have one more suprise Jessica." I get down on one knee and pull out a ring from my jacket and tell her that I want to spend the rest of my life with her. "Jessica I love you with all my heart, will you marry me?" And on the eighth day since we've been together in the same place...she smiles so big and says the only word I want to hear. "Yes!"

This is the view from the Bluff view art district of Chattanooga where I asked Jessica to marry me.

We embrace in the rain and my heart is on fire!
I actually got more of a reaction from her when I told her I was flying home in two hours. An engagement story to remember for all times. And now a beautiful marriage to remember for all times.
Jessica I love you!

AND THAT IS WHY I HAVE BEEN AWAY FOR TWO MONTHS!

More Pictures to come. And more frequent posts! I will leave you with these three pictures:
